Romaji and English translation of the song MALUM from the single UNDYING by the GazettE.

Lyrics originally sung in English are in italics , and words or phrases I felt were implied are in [brackets] in the translation.

I also (usually) put repeats of chorus/verses/stanzas in [brackets] if they’re not written that way in the original lyrics for ease of singing along.

If he writes a word in the lyrics but doesn’t sing it, I put it in light grey to make it easier to skip when singing along.

What do you think of the death I dealt you in retaliation?

And in it, even your reason for living brings you nothing but ruin

It sounds like he’s saying 終えん shuuen “demise” and not 深淵 shinen “abyss” like he has written in the lyrics. So… I ended up compromising in the translation and including both words, because while “abyss” definitely fits, I am still like 99% certain he’s actually saying shuuen and not shinen here. So I just translated it as “abyss of death” and we’ll leave it at that.
Malum means “evil, an offense against right.”
There’s no pronoun here, and nothing to go on for context other than the rest of the song, so I went with “her” based on the “She can’t return” from the next stanza.
Basically this song seems to be about taking revenge. The person he’s singing to has killed someone (either on purpose or through neglect on their part). The injustice and resentment of it is festering and turning the singer into a vengeful beast who is basically saying, “No matter where you go and no matter what you do, as long as you’re alive, know I’m coming for you. I won’t rest until you’re dead in return for what you did.”
